To incentivize academic excellence in our high school aged reenactors, we have a scholarship fund to aide our young historians’ college aspirations.

The NCWA offers one, annual, merit based scholarship to a deserving NCWA member attending or matriculating to any accredited post-secondary college or university. Applications are taken in the summer, with determinations made in September.
The Scholarship is funded in part by a generous donation made by Donald K Manns. Mr. Manns, a lifelong supporter of American Civil War History Education and Historical Site preservation, kindly left the National Civil Association in his will. The monies donated were used to create an endowment which covers most of the cost of the Scholarship. Individual donations and fundraising events at events cover the rest of the cost.
To apply for the scholarship click on the following link, fill out the form and mail it to the address on the form. All applications are due by September 1st, 2020.
